Cancellation Policy
Please read our cancellation policy in full below. It's important you do so as once you book a cruise with us, you will be required to pay cancellation fees if you need to cancel your cruise for any reason, so please take the time to read them prior to booking.
1. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
1.1 Your cruise line deposit & bookit.com booking fee/deposit are non-refundable.
1.2 If you cancel your booking prior to paying your balance in full, your cruise line deposit and Seascanner.co.uk booking fee/deposit will be retained as cancellation charges. Please note that if you have paid your balance in full, your cancellation charges will increase as set out by your Cruise Operator/Supplier in their terms & conditions.
1.3 Cancellations incur a Bookit.com fee of £50 per person.
1.4 These charges are made in addition to any charge made by your Cruise Operator/Supplier which is detailed in their terms & conditions.
1.5 Cancellations can only be processed with written or email authorisation from the lead passenger/contact travelling. If your booking is cancelled bookit.com will withdraw any discount given.
1.6 Please retain your bookit.com booking confirmation, as you will need it if your travel arrangements are protected under a scheme of financial protection and you need to make a claim.
1.7 Any applicable refunds may take a number of weeks to process and are subject to the relevant cruise line providing a refund to bookit.com.
1.8 Your Consumer Rights. Nothing in this Cancellation Policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable consumer protection legislation. As an agent, we facilitate bookings with third-party travel suppliers, and their terms and conditions will apply to your booking. If you are contracting as a consumer, you may have the right to cancel certain travel services within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, unless an exemption applies. We recommend reviewing the supplier’s cancellation terms carefully before confirming your booking.
2. CANCEL & REBOOKING TO A DIFFERENT CRUISE WITH THE SAME CRUISE LINE
2.1 If you wish to transfer to a new cruise AND it is possible, subject to the terms and conditions of the Cruise Operator/Supplier, the Cruise Operator/Supplier will charge an admin fee.
2.2 In addition to this fee, bookit.com will charge an admin fee of £25 per person (or minimum £50 per cabin).
3. AMENDING AN EXISTING BOOKING
3.1 If you have booked a cruise with us and need to make an amendment e.g. cabin upgrade, drinks package etc. please do not make another booking on our website and instead contact us to amend your existing booking. Any additional booking made is subject to standard terms and conditions and will incur the charges laid out above in the event of cancellation.
4. FINANCIAL PROTECTION
4.1 Your booking may be protected under financial protection schemes such as ABTA or ATOL. Please refer to your booking confirmation or contact us to confirm whether your travel arrangements are protected and how to make a claim in the event of financial failure.
